Monumental brand, monumental opportunity

Famous Footwear was selected by Nike as the first family-focused footwear retailer to carry the Jordan Brand — a landmark partnership making Jordan products accessible to shoppers of all ages at competitive price points. To set this experience apart from the standard Famous Footwear digital presence, stakeholders prioritized elevating key touchpoints across the product detail and listing pages to create a brand experience worthy of the Jordan name.

As the lead designer on this initiative, alongside mentorship & assistance from my Senior UX Designer, to drive the creative direction from concept to launch. With a hard back-to-school deadline in place, I developed initial design concepts, crafted micro-animations, and helped deliver an interactive 360° product view — immersing customers in a premium, distinctly Jordan experience.

Outcome

Outcome

The Jordan Brand launch on Famous Footwear delivered strong commercial results within weeks of going live, generating millions in demand sales and incremental revenue that quickly positioned Jordan among the top 15 best-selling brands on the platform year-to-date — and top 5 in revenue generated since launch. While new customer acquisition was comparable to similar brands, the elevated digital experience drove notably stronger engagement: non-converting users returned to the site at a rate roughly 50% higher than the sitewide average, with a meaningful percentage going on to complete a purchase within two weeks.

The custom design features I led — including the 360° product view and elevated PDP layout — showed clear impact on customer behavior. Users who engaged with the 360° experience converted at a rate noticeably above the baseline, while Jordan PDP scroll depth more than doubled that of comparable brands like Nike and Adidas, reflecting a more immersive and compelling product experience. Taken together, these results validated the investment in a differentiated Jordan design and laid a strong foundation for the continued partnership between Famous Footwear and the Jordan Brand.
